About Us

Astonleigh Bed & Breakfast located at 365 Ohaupo Road is an historic villa (built in 1910), situated in the beautiful Te Awamutu, Rosetown of New Zealand. We are 2 hours drive from Auckland Airport, 40 mins to Waitomo Caves and 40 minutes to Hobbiton film set. Maungatautari Bird Sanctuary is 15 minutes away, Otorohonga kiwi house 30 minutes and we are only 5 minutes walking distance to Te Awamutu town centre , local restaurants and movie theatres.

Rex is a retired chef and enjoys preparing breakfasts for guests. Linda is a local Landscape artist and has a selection of her works displayed.

Astonleigh has an ambience for guests to enjoy. The guest accommodation includes a private lounge,dining room, 2 bedrooms, queen and double and a sundeck, tea & coffee-making facilities and a fridge. The guest accommodation is completely separate from owners accommodation.

We have endeavoured to make our Bed & Breakfast a friendly, relaxing and homely environment for guests to enjoy. We welcome guests from N.Z and worldwide.

Astonleigh Villa has two comfortable, secure, non-smoking bedrooms with guest living room with TV and fireplace, dining room and outdoor seating area. Free wifi and client parking is right out the front.

Astonleigh is rated for the best value in Te Awamutu!. Compared to other similar properties, guests are getting more for their money.

Check in time is by 2pm or by arrangement.
Check out time is 10 a.m. unless by prior arrangement.
